Last Post of the Year!

That sounds so strange, last post of the year!  Giggle, well not last post ever just on SRTC in 2015.  I will be back in January, on with my card!   Christmas Words is the challenge at SRTC and I chose Jingle All The Way from the SRTC shop!

I used white card stock from Close To My Heart and designer paper from my stash.  I embossed the chipboard with Pearl embossing powder from Close To My Heart and added white flocking to 2 of the snowflakes.  I used white liquid applique on the smallest snowflake, brown for the sleigh and blue, white, green liquid applique for the bell.  I added some gems, pom poms, and bling from my stash.  I used Memory box dies to cut out the pine branches and the dangly boarder.  There you have it.  Merry Christmas.

Christmas Words Challenge!

Wow how time flies, here we are in December already and Christmas is fast approaching!  I chose to do a card using Christmas words as my Focus, Merry Christmas!  I hope you join in on the fun and enter a project to the SRTC Challenge!  Most importantly, have fun!!!!

The Merry Christmas is from Southern Ridge Trading Company and the Snowflakes as well!  I coloured the chipboard with copic markers, G17, G07, Y13, YR23, B18, R89 and E18.  I added stickles, Ruby Slippers, Pewter, Buttercup, Rouge, Diamond and Dark Chocolate and liquid applique for the fluff on the stocking and on the loops around the sentiment.    The paper is Annabelle's Christmas from Wild Rose Studio and the white cardstock is from Close to My Heart.  I used Memory Box Dies for the pine branches and the Corner Flourish Dies are from, I think, either Heartfelt Creations or Memory Box.  I distressed the paper edges with Forest Moss Tim Holtz Distress Ink from Ranger.

Christmas Card Time!

It is that time of year and I have done my first Christmas Card!  Whoot Whoot!  I was at a fundraiser crop and one of the challenges was to to make a card with what we had on hand and all we were given was the card stock strip and a piece of designer paper.  This is what I came up with.  I used the Seasons Greetings sentiment and the snowflakes chipboard from SRTC and added some colour.  The black bazzil card stock was what my chipboard was secured to when I got it., he, he!

I used Dylusions Post Office Red paint by Dian Reaverly by Ranger for the sentiment, coloured the Lily of The Valley image with copic markers and added snowflakes with a white chalk marker.  I used Yellow Gold Viva Decor Inka Gold  for the snowflakes and added bling I had in my bag.  I added white liquid applique on the hat to make it look fuzzy and pop.

I just happened to have some wire and beads in my bag so thought, why not!

Voila!  My card.

Now I hope that inspired you to come play along at the SRTC Challenge, this month the theme is Christmas and if you do a non traditional project you can get an extra chance to win.  If you have SRTC products that is awesome but you do not need to use SRTC products!  If you would like to play along click here to enter your project here

I covered the canvas with white gesso to prime it then used a stencil and moulding paste for the textured bows in the corners.  The pine cones are from SRTC of course.

I added the pine cones and snowflakes then used Bubble Gum Pink Dylusions paint by Ranger over everything.  Once that dried I sprayed the whole canvas with Wild Plum and Coral Berry spray (Lumin Arte Primary Elements Powder mixed with water in a spray bottle.)

I added musical notes that I cut with a Memory Box Die, more pine cones, dear snowman and sentiments with Santa sleigh with his reindeer, ornaments, pasted them on and painted it all with Bubble Gum Dylusions Paint.

I added Black Diamond Stickles and Dylusions Black Marble paint to various pieces of chipboard to make them pop.  I added some flowers, a white snowflake and the word peace I found in my stash.

Booooooo!

Hello, welcome to one of my favorite times of the year, Halloween!  I love all the ghouls, goblins and all things spooooookkkkyyyyy!  So I have chosen to do a canvas of a spooky halloween scene.  All the chipboard is from Southern Ridge Trading Co.  If you play along at the SRTC Blog Challenge you could win a $20 shopping spree at the Southern Ridge Trading Co shop!  It is the perfect challenge,  Fall!  Hope you play along for a chance to win some wonderful product.

Soooooo here is the project I did, started with a wooden frame, painted it with white gesso then turned it around to make a shadow box type frame for my scene.  Here is my layout before I got started.

I used black acrylic paint first and covered the frame then added Dylusions paint by Ranger with my fingers and just smeared it.   The colours I used were crushed grape, lemon zest, black marble, squeezed orange and white linen.   Then I added Old Silver Inka Gold to give it a distressed look.

I added Dylusions White Linen paint to the spider web and squeezed orange to the fence.  I added Black Sand Texture Paste from Finnabair, Art Extra Vagance, for the ground, black marble Dylusions paint to the trees and snow to the house.

I used lemon zest Dylusions paints for the moon and added glass and metal beads to the center.

I filled the littles bottles with fake blood and Dylusions cut grass paint and water for my blood and gooooo!  I added the little skull and bones I purchased from the dollar store.  The little bottles themselves are from Tim Holtz.  I used pop up springs for cards that I purchased from Close to My Heart, so the bat would pop about.  The bat and the ghosts are painted with Dylusions black marble and white linen paints.  The Keep out take is from the Dollar store.

I added the black cloth mesh, flours and orange embellies from my stash.

Finally I added cut grass and squeezed orange Dylusions paint on the sentiment and cut grass on the  house.  Voila, my spooky scene, hope you enjoy and thanx for stopping by.  See you next time.

I have entered my  project in The Outlaws Challenges.

Southern Ridge Trading Company - My Favourites!

Hello, I have been away for some time enjoying life and the summer sun.  Looks like fall is here so have the crafting bug.  I would like to let you know that I have been accepted on the Southern Ridge Trading Company Design team and I am soooooooo excited.  The theme this month is "My Favourites".  Today is my first post and my I am excited to share with you one of my passions, camping.  Oh and don't forget to go to the Southern Ridge Trading Company blog and see what amazing creations  the talented design team have for you.

Here is my project for today.

All the dies and chipboard on my project are from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  I added molding paste, stencils, paint, burlap and so much more.   Here are some pictures of the multimedia board in action.

It's always a good idea to lay out what you want to use and play with it until it is exactly how you want it.  I learned from wise friends to always take a picture so you remember where you wanted things to go.  Priceless advise.  I painted the board with white gesso.

Now to add some texture and colour.  I used various sprays, burlap ribbon and molding paste over a Tim Holtz stencil.

I added more molding paste over stencils, which names escape me at the moment, and added clouds with Snow Texture.

I couldn't help myself, had to add a marshmallow.  I used white liquid aplique and heated it with a heat gun until it puffed and started to burn, turning some bits brown.

Voila, finished product.  Please feel free to play along at the SRTC blog.

Spring Challenge! SRTC

Hello, I thought I should pop in and let you know I have not given up on crafting, giggle!  Life is so full and wonderful I just have not been in the craft room much and now of course, it needs cleaning before I can get crafty.  Welllllll, I went to a crop and this is the first time eva that I started and finished a canvas or project for that matter.  Yippy Skippy for me!  I used all South Ridge Trading Company chipboard.  Since the first thing I have thought of doing this spring is camping and fishing, I thought it fitting to enter the Spring Challenge at Southern Ridge Trading Company.  Here is the layout, getting ready to get painted and inky!

I added the sun, grass, Sentiment, splotches and dragonfly by using stencils and gesso.

I painted the whole piece with gesso then added yellow gelato to the gesso and painted the sun and rays.

I added blue gelato to the gesso and voila!

I did the same with the rest of the piece by adding brown, green, then added white gelato mixed with water over the lettering.  I rolled cotton gauze, added gesso then cut it to fit for the rope on the fence of the dock, hat band and chair.  I added feathers to to the flies and wire for fishing line.  I added clear crackle to give the dock and water some texture and shine,   I used stickers to add the name above the Gone Fishing sign.  My husband loved it and we plan to put it in the travel trailer.  Thanx for stopping by.
